can school food be more appetizing?

Currently we charge about $4 for a school lunch and yet that doesn’t seem to be enough for us to make good food, or is it? Well if we were to go on a school field trip, and for lunch there were to be food trucks, you would see that there are some trucks offering maybe a slice of pizza the size of your head with chips and a soda for $5. For that meal to be heavenly good just puts our school cafeteria to shame. I believe that we have the potential to make good food for our students, but we just have the idea that if we put something into the students that no one would enjoy or eat happily, that that is just as good. Food isn’t something that just goes straight to our stomach. We taste the food knowing that it is good and that we want more of it. McDonald’s can even make food cheaper for customers, and they like that food, so why aren’t school lunches just as good?

  • McChicken and Sausage Burrito for $1,
  • Bacon McDouble and 2-Piece Buttermilk Crispy Tenders for $2
  • Triple Cheeseburger, Classic Chicken Sandwich and the Happy Meal for $3

I have looked into multiple website articles about Michelle Obama’s school food plan and, the school nutrition association (SNA). from the looks of the students perspective and their response to Michelle Obama’s food policy, I’d say that the youth do not have the greatest feelings towards her plan. The youth started a hashtag chain on Twitter to where they’d take a picture of their food and put “#ThanksMichelleObama” this wasn’t the students saying thank you for the change of food, to be exact they were using sarcasm as to thank her for the awful and despised food that was given to them.
